Honda Accord Crosstour Wagons return is not that much missed from past generations. And thats too bad. Instead, it is a car with a hatchback crossover tweener is less practical than the train or Crossover full-figured, with styling that does not share a tense line Accord sedan. The main selling point, apart from a bit more cargo space, is that it offers all-wheel drive, while all four-door Accord to make do with front-wheel drive. 

When it first hit the showrooms Crosstour, it is actually called the Accord Crosstour. This makes sense, because it is based on the Accord sedan sold at the time. Since then, it has dropped the name Accord, while the Accord itself has been moved into a new generation, leaving behind Crosstour as a bit of an orphan. So now the Accord Crosstour is only a relatively husky, with a slower handling. 

Crosstour offers a choice of either four-cylinder or V-6 engine. Most will be fine with the adequate performance of the base 192-horsepower four-and five-speed automatic transmission. The V-6 models get the new Honda Earth Dreams 3.5-liter V-6, rated at 278 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque, connected to a six-speed automatic with paddle shifter steering wheel-mounted. While the Accord sedan has been delivered to the front-strut layout-more melodic to ride and handling, the Honda Crosstour say-retaining double-wishbone layout which for a long time is a point of pride for Honda fans. 

Handling is further aided by front and rear stabilizer bars along with front strut-tower bar, and steering is hydraulic-assist-standing separate from the system that has been introduced throughout the new Accord lineup and many of the rest of the electric assist Honda models. Those who want all-wheel drive should pony up for the top-of-the-line V-6 models. 

Fuel economy is also lagging behind the Accord sedan, but its worth it compared to the right, crossover boxier. Four-cylinder models are rated by the EPA at 22 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway, while the front-drive V-6 now get ratings of 20/30 mpg. The V-6-only all-wheel-drive models are not far behind, with an assessment of 19/28 mpg. 

Crosstour drives like a version especially heavy, somewhat high, and less nimble than the Accord. It weighs about 300 to 500 pounds more, across the board, from the Accord sedan comparable; with or without the knowledge of it, you will be surprised to find that the Accord sedan feels nimble just missing here, especially at low speeds.
